Guess I'm not very good at blogging.  I don't have anything exciting to talk about.  Life is busy, but good!  I joined the worship team at our church, playing for the first time this Sunday.  Also, I set up a account so I can stream live video, meaning now everybody can watch my shows over the internet.  Pretty cool!  Check out the Shows page for dates and to tune in to the next show!

I bought a new acoustic guitar, a Martin GPCPA3.  It sounds pretty awesome, but the electronics are not super user friendly, I'll need to spend some time with it to get familiar with getting a good sound out of it when it's plugged in.  Then again, I may decide to trade it for the DCPA3 which is the same in most ways but has the larger Dreadnought body style as opposed to the Grand Performance body style.  I'll need to play the other one to decide.

Other than that, I've been hitting the gym almost every weekday with my (former army scout) brother, and he's been trying to hurt me!  But it feels good and I know it will pay off! I've let myself go a little bit over the last few years.  Never really had to worry about my body and health before, but now turning 25 next month, I suppose I have to start some good habits.  I want to be fit and healthy and live a long time with lots of energy and lots of fun!

Also, I suppose sometime soon I'll finally have my studio set up at home.  The wife has started getting some stuff done around the house and trying to settle in a bit.  Won't be long before the space is cleared out and my gear is set up, ready for rehearsals, recording, and general lazy man-time!  I need to get busy writing new songs and finishing half-done stuff.  I know there are a few people out there who are actually craving some new stuff from me.  But recording may be difficult.  I may try and get a good solo acoustic demo recorded myself at my home studio.  But I dunno, I have my sights set a little bit higher on a well-produced, professionally engineered full length album.  But who knows, getting the acoustic demos out there may just help to land me some help from a label or some other professionals in the industry.  Keep your fingers crossed and feel free to put a little Bryan Vickers Blurb in your prayers!

Hey, somebody drop me a line with some ideas, comments, encouragement, suggestions, criticism, drawings, jokes, questions, problems...(I'm a good listener)  Haha, I'd like to interact with more "fans," so if anybody is reading this, shoot me an email!
